Make up is an art form. The laws of contouring and shading in sketching and painting also apply in makeup. Think of your face as a blank canvas. Where does the light reflect and shadows fall? Foundation is your base and is what coins this blank canvas. It creates a flattened image meaning it is now time to go back and add in the dimensions.

Remember : Darker shading pushes an area away and lighter shading pulls an area towards you!
Contouring is the fundamental step in makeup application. Done wrong can make you appear 'dirty', done right can create illusions of defined cheekbones, a strong jawline, slimmer features, a smaller nose and also a shorter forehead. Bronzer holds the key to bring out your natural bone structure.
It is time to master the art of make-up and play up to each of your stunning skin tones.

Tools:
TanOrganic Duo Bronzer
Contour Brush
Blush Brush

1. Contour
Apply bronzer delicately, too much could make you look like a cake. Always contour right under the cheekbone in the darker shade. This will give the illusion of depth and shadow at the hollows of the cheekbones. Your face will achieve a sculpted look effect. Your cheekbones will appear slimmer, higher and defined.

As the area of application is small, use a contour brush. Suck in those cheeks and apply the contouring shade beginning at the hairline move down toward the lip, following the contour of the cheekbones.

2. Blush
Blush should always sit at the hollow of the cheekbone. It should start at the midpoint of the hairline next to the ears and slope downward toward the mouth. Always leave a 1 to 1.5cm gap between the eyes and blush and nose and blush.
Always choose a lighter tone of blush than the bronzer shade and apply to apples of the cheeks. Smile broadly to locate the apples. The region that is raised and gets balled up is the "apple" of the cheek. Why not try a peachy rose colour?
Using a blush brush apply in a sweeping motion in an upward slope from the points mentioned above.
Take the blush right up to where the contouring shade sartes and blend in with it.

3. Highlight
the shimmering lighter shade is applied to top of cheekbones where the light would reflect giving a glow to the face and highlighting the cheekbones coupled with the contouring giving a sculpted and defined look to the cheeks
Apply sparingly and on the very small area of top of cheekbones.  Use an eyeshadow brush of small blush brush put at highest point of cheekbones and take it upward along the bone

For added sculpting sweep the contouring shade along the jawline. temples, forehead, breastbone and collar bone for slimming effects.
